Liverpool misses Gerrard...

Liverpool will be missing out their captain Steven Gerrard as he had been injured and will not be playing the Tuesday's Premier League match at home to Arsenal. It is expected that he will be ruled out for 7-10 days with the groin problem. It would be a tough competition for Manchester United to regain the first place only if they win against Portsmouth at Old Trafford. But a draw for Liverpool at Anfield would see them go top of the table. Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor are also likely to miss the match for Arsenal due to injuries. Instead Bacary Sagna and Eduardo will occupy their place.

Hayden and Muralitharan does the cameo for CSK

Finally they are out, from my point of view I say that it’s really difficult for other teams if they keep going like this. Hayden and Patel who made a brilliant start to the innings contributed 106 for the first wicket.Chennai Super Kings who started with match with a defeat against Mumbai Indians have now regrouped their team that had slayed the Bangalore Royal Challengers. Chasing a huge total of 179 runs under lights Bangalore Royal Challengers have lost the match by 92 runs. It was once again a poor start for the Challengers, Praveen Kumar who started the innings was bowled out by Gony.Kallis made a firing start but it was his International team mate Albie Morkel who caught him for a leg before wicket. Soon the other players went out for cheap dismissals.Dravid alone fought the battle alone scoring 20 runs and in no time even he was dismissed by Balaji.Muralitharan who claimed three wickets giving away only 11 runs was adjudged the Man Of The Match. Hayden now holds the Orange cap for scoring high runs in this season. Even Freddie’s cameo of 21 runs in just 12 balls saw Chennai set an impressive total of 179/5 in 20 overs.

What is D/L Method in cricket....???

I just read out an article about how to calculate D/L Method, its not that much easy to calculate it they use a formula to calculate it. It will be 100 at the start of the innings but as overs are completed or wickets fall the “resources remaining" falls. The expected score is the current score plus 235 times the resources remaining divided by 100. The system assumes that the average innings score for an ODI is 235.Z (u, w) = Z0 (w) [1 - exp {-b (w) u}] is the formula used and Z (u, w) is the expected number of runs to be scored in u overs when w wickets have been lost. Z0 (w) is the average total score if an unlimited number of overs were available and when w wickets have been lost. b (w) is a decay constant that varies with w, the number of wickets lost.

There are still many of them who deserves that place players like Wasim Jaffer,Rohit Sharma are all really good and have shown up their talents.Yuvi is the one who is fit to play ODI'S and T20 matches. He doesn't have that much patience to play the tests, though he showed a good record at home its really important that they show up their talents in foreign soil. Normally in ODI'S if Rohit is given a chance he plays a slow innings with marginal strokes, so why don't the selectors provide him the chance.Untill Yuvi grows up in test let some other talented players get the chance. Team Selector's need to give him another chance and then straight away take up the decision.
