Gibbs leads the Proteas Army to command the Aussies...

Herschelle Gibbs drove South Africa with a brilliant century to beat the Aussies 3-1 in 5 match series. The Proteas who where forced to bat first by the Aussies made a strong and a commanding reply to the Aussies.Gibbs and AB de Villiers put a 136 run partnership to take South Africa in a well positioned seat. Later Duminy and Boucher also contributed 65 runs as part of their innings. Gibbs hammered two sixes and nine fours in his 110 off 116 balls and shared a stand of 136 with AB de Villiers (84).Following the home side batting the Aussies Opening pair Brad Haddin and Michael Clarke gave Australia a flying start with a 129 run stand but the lower order batting line up failed to fire once again.Roelof van der Merwe (3-46) halted the charge and Dale Steyn (4-44) swept away the tail as they were all out for 256.The Proteas have now taken the advantage and they have won the series, still one more match to go and lets check out whether the Aussies will fire back or the Proteas will finish the series by 4-1.
