Proteas can also prove to be tougher for the Aussies, following a defeat in the 1st ODI against Aussies.Ponting who won the toss decided to bat first had a huge blow from Steyn and Parnell who bagged up four wickets each collapsing the top order. At a stage Aussies were 5 for 19 later Ferguson came out with a good innings that made them to a decent total. Opening the innings for Proteas Gibbs was dismissed out cheaply for 2 runs and later Smith and Kallis put up a 69 run partnership while the pair for broken by Jhonson .Proteas are now happy with a win to level the 5 match series by 1-1.
